The 2014 International Champions Cup came to a close last night in Miami at Sun Life Stadium with a Manchester United victory over Liverpool FC, 3-1.
Wayne Rooney won player of the tournament, and was seen posing with the official 2014 ICC trophy, designed by ÉPICO Studios and Thomas Lyte, after the game:
After the team won its first silverware on American soil, a few of the players decided to take pictures in smaller groups with the trophy:
The sterling silver trophy measures 50cm in height and rises with six encircling flutes from a round base where the eight competing club logos are engraved on the sterling silver collar.
“After witnessing the success of last year’s inaugural edition of the International Championship Cup, we are excited to evolve with the tournament’s design of an iconic trophy for the world’s top clubs competing these last few weeks,” said Rich Levy, founder and creative director for ÉPICO Studios. “We love helping to build a precious piece of silverware for Relevent Sports that these clubs compete for, and we hope it gives them an edge in their select leagues.”
Now it's time to look forward to next year's ICC!
